What is Spinal Energetics?
Spinal Energetics is a gentle, body-led somatic therapy that supports nervous system regulation, emotional release, and a deeper sense of safety within the body. The work blends Eastern and Western approaches and focuses on the spine as a gateway to the nervous system and energetic field.
Using light touch (and at times no touch), alongside breath and sound, Spinal Energetics works with the body’s natural intelligence rather than forcing change. As the body begins to feel safe, it may unwind naturally; releasing tension, held emotions, protective patterns, and past experiences stored within the nervous system and tissues.
The intention of this work is to restore balance and flow, supporting physiological regulation and a more settled, embodied experience of wellbeing.
Spinal Energetics with Zoey
Sessions with Zoey are calm, supportive, and trauma-aware. Zoey trained directly with Dr Sarah Jane, the founder of Spinal Energetics, and brings both clinical understanding and deep embodied presence to each session.
Her approach is gentle and precise, always guided by the body’s responses. Each session is shaped around what your nervous system needs in that moment, creating a safe environment for meaningful and sustainable change.

Each session begins with gentle breathwork and somatic awareness to support grounding and connection with your body.
The session typically starts at the feet and moves to light, intentional contact along the spine and other areas of the body. These points of contact are used to communicate safety to the nervous system and invite regulation.
As your body responds, you may experience:
• Gentle or spontaneous movement or stretching
• Muscle tremors or waves of release
• Emotional expression or sound
• Deep stillness with an internal or energetic experienceEvery session is different. Some experiences are more physical, others more internal; all responses are normal and welcomed.

Spinal Energetics is a consent-led and collaborative process. We move at a pace guided by your nervous system, not by force or expectation.
There is no pushing or pressure to release. Instead, the body is supported to soften and respond when it feels ready, allowing change to happen in a regulated and sustainable way.

Spinal Energetics Contraindications
You do not need to know what you are holding or what needs to change. The body leads the process, and we work with whatever presents in a safe and supported way.

While a single session can offer meaningful regulation and insight, Spinal Energetics is not a quick fix.
For deeper and more sustainable change, a series of 3 or 6 sessions is recommended to support ongoing nervous system recalibration and integration.
Please note: Spinal Energetics requires integration time. Clients are encouraged to review the Spinal Energetics Client Aftercare information in advance to fully support the body before and after sessions.

What is a Nervous System Awareness Session?
A Nervous System Awareness session is a gentle, personalised session designed to help you understand how your nervous system is functioning in real time. It’s a space to notice your body, your breath, and your energy, and to explore patterns of tension, stress, or withdrawal.
This session is ideal as a standalone treatment, giving you clarity and insight into how your body responds to stress and relaxation, and offering practical awareness to use at home to support your nervous system.
It’s also an essential first step if you have booked an On.ah Method treatment, as it gives deep insight into your dominant nervous system patterns before beginning more structured treatments.
Nervous System Awareness with Zoey
Sessions with Zoey are relaxed, trauma-informed, and tailored to you.
They are created as a safe grounded space where you can slow down, feel at ease and begin to understand how your nervous system responds to daily life. Rather than analysing or fixing, the focus is on gentle awareness; helping you build a clearer more supportive relationship with your body.
This session is a nourishing first step if you are curious about your nervous system or are considering deeper work in the future.

• Physical observation and gentle somatic exploration, noticing areas of tension, posture, and breath patterns.
